Apex is planning another busy winter season with fun events and great activities. There are also National and Provincial events taking place this year. Apex Mountain Resort hosts many events throughout the season so keep your eyes on the calendar for updates and new events. 1	Apex re-opens to the Public! The Tbar and Magic Carpet will be in operation with limited terrain. Discounted lift prices will be in effect.
7-9	Level 1 Coaches Course CSCF Certification. Please go to www.snowpro.com for more information and to register.
8	The Fairview Mohawk Outdoor NHL Size Hockey Rink and Aventure Skating Loop are open to the public - private bookings are available. Please contact Dave to make a booking.
8-9& 15-16	CSIA Level 1 Course - covers two weekends. To register please click on to www.snowpro.com or contact the Snow School for further information.
15	Tim Horton's Snow Bus - Runs every weekend and holidays through to March 30. Please contact the resort for more information or click here
15	Tim Horton's Tube Park is Open for the season - come on out and check out all the tubing fun. Contack Dave to book your Group or Birthday Party today!
21	Night Skiing Starts - from 4:00-9:00 pm Friday & Saturday Nights, through Christmas Holidays (except the 24th, 25th and 31st) & the 1st week of Spring Break in March
22	Adventure Smart Awareness Days -- Join the team as the share their wealth of knowledge so that you can "Get Informed and Go Outdoors!".
23	Welcome Reception from 4:00 - 5:30 pm upstairs at the Gunbarrel Saloon for guests staying at the resort. Come chat to some of the locals and other guests to find out what is happening throughout the resort this holiday season. Sponsored by Andrew Peller Wines and the Gunbarrel Saloon.
23	Family Skating Party at the Skating Loop from 5-7 pm - Bring your family & join in the fun. Complimentary Tim Hortons Hot Chocolate with marshmallows & Bonfire. Hosted By Myleen of Apex Matters.
Dec 22 - Jan 6	Christmas Holidays -- Enjoy all the time that you get to spend on the hill!!
15-25	Apex Mountain Light Up - Judging of Cabin Decorations (People's Choice) with Awards on Dec 26th. Take a drive around the resort to check out all the festive light displays then cast your ballot at the Main Office!
24	Christmas Eve Celebrations in the Apex Mountain Village - Torchlight Parade & Fireworks / Santa arrives and gives out presents / Complimentary Hot Chocolate around the Bonfire / Starts at 6:00 pm.
25	Christmas Day - The staff, managers and owners at Apex Mountain Resort wish you a wonderful white Christmas at the Mountain!
30	Family Skating Party at the Skating Loop from 6-8 pm - Bring your family & join in the fun. Complimentary Tim Hortons Hot Chocolate with marshmallows & Bonfire. Hosted by Chad Henderson of Coldwell Banker and his kids!

January 2008
1	Happy New Year from the staff, management and owners of Apex Mountain Resort. If you are up for first chair you will have the mountain to yourself. For all the revelers the Crack of Noon Club will be hitting the slopes at 12pm if at all! Enjoy!
3	Elan Ski Demo Day - Tyler will be here with the latest lineup of demo skis for the new season. Check out the selection outside the Gunbarrel and take a few turns on the skis. He might even bring some friends with the demo snowboards - stay tuned!!
9	Ladies Day Program Starts - runs for 5 Wednesdays in a row. Day includes lessons & lunch, plus lots of fun & prizes! See the Snow School for more information.
10 - 13	8th Annual Apex Shoot-Out Hockey Tournament - come check out all the fast paced hockey action as teams go head to head on the NHL sized outdoor rink. For more info click here
11	Men's Day Program Starts - Runs for 8 Fridays in a row so that you can choose what 5 work best for you. See the Snow School for more information.
12 or 13	Home Hardware Ski & Snowboard Camps - your choice of either 8 Saturdays or 8 Sundays in a row. See the Snow School for more information.
12-20	National Ski and Snowboard Week-- Check out the introduction to skiing and snowboarding specials at the ski school.
19-25	BC Alpine Men's and Women's Super G and Downhill Races
19-21	Martin Luther King Long Weekend - Welcome to our American guests, enjoy your holiday weekend.

February 2008
2	Nancy Green Ski League - South Okanagan Zone Finals
9 & 10	Season Passholder Appreciation Day - Come out to the Okanagan Run and test your skills in the Fun Race anytime between 11am and 3pm. Those who guess closest to their course time will win prizes courtesy of Apex and the mountain sponsors. Please stop into the Main Office beforehand to register and sign the waiver. There will also be complimentary tubing at the Tim Hortons Tube Park on Saturday Night (the 9th) from 6pm - 8pm with Tim Hortons Hot Chocolate and a Bonfire. Pop into the Rental Shop to get hooked-up with your tube pass. Don't forget that you need to show your Season Pass for both events!!
11-13	Keg Cup - Welcome all participants

15-17	BC Freestyle and the Apex Freestyle Ski Club host the NorAm Freestyle Frenzy Competion including Moguls, Aerials and Dual Moguls taking place on Kristi's Run and at the Airsite. If you would like to be up close and a part of the action please contact Kelly at vayko@shaw.ca to volunteer.

March 2008
1 & 23	You have all been waiting for it and now its here: a COMP in the Claim Jumper Park put on by Apex Mountain Resort and Freeride Boardshop with prizes courtesy of Freeride, A3 Mountain Shop and Orage. Open to skiers and boarders! This is the first in a two part series so get out to the park and practise with your friends and then come out on March 1st & 23rd to show the judges what ya got! There will be awesome prizes and cash to be won! Don't forget to drop in to the Main Office or at Freeride to get Ma or Pa to sign the waiver if you are 18 or under!! Helmets are mandatory for this event!
15	The Apex Volunteer Fire Brigade Society will be hosting their First Annual Fireman's Ball FUNdraiser at the Gunbarrel from 6pm with Live & Silent Auctions and Valdy in Concert. This fundraiser will help support the society in being able to provide Fire Protection Services to the community of Apex. Join them for a night of FUNdraising and socializing!

22	The SOAR Race - Continuing Mike Coburn's Legacy for Disabled Athletes! More details will be released soon but you know how it works so start getting your teams together and challenging others; together we will SOAR on race day!! Volunteers are needed to continue this successful event, please contact Caley in the Main Office if you can lend a helping hand or to register your team! 7th Annual Chili Cook-off -- Prepare a batch of your best "Secret Recipe" Chili and enter it into this $2 "Tasters Choice" awards for best chili maker at Apex Mountain Resort. Last years winner -- The office gals, Caley & Oday! Proceeds this year will be donated to the SOAR Foundation.
