Come up and check out the events happening this weekend at Apex
Hey everyone…Just want to let you all know about the awesome events taking place this weekend up here at Apex Mountain Resort. We’ve got tons of new snow and sun is in the forecast for this weekend; Conditions couldn’t be better to close out our 2011/2012 season!
Saturday, April 7th Pentagon board shop is putting on a slope style in the Claim Jumper terrain park. Registration is from 10-11 am in the Lunch Room and the event will start 12pm. Best trick on each feature wins and best trick overall wins the cash! Join Pentagon for music, a BBQ, and an awesome afternoon in the terrain park.
We’ve got a couple of events on Sunday, April 8th. First off, we’ve got the annual Easter Egg hunt. Kids ages 2-5 are to meet just outside of Rippin Rascals at 11am; ages 6-9 are to meet at the top of the magic carpet at 12pm; and ages 10 and up are to hit the slopes searching for plastic Easter eggs, which they are to bring to the administration office to redeem their chocolate. Let the hunt begin!
Our annual Dummy Downhill is also this Sunday. Come up to Apex to check out this amazing event and watch as dummies of all shapes and sizes launch off our aerial site. That’s right, this is the only Dummy Downhill in the world that sends it’s dummies off a world cup aerial site. It’s always a fun event for the whole family so come check it out because these dummies will be flying! There is still plenty of time to build and enter a dummy. Here’s how to do it: Build a dummy weighing no more than 200lbs…and make sure that sucker can fly!! Distance counts! Carnage counts! Creativity counts! Enter your dummy by sending a quick email to events@apexresort.com or register in the admin office. Then bring your dummy to the Gunbarrel patio at 10am on Sunday, April 8th for weigh in, then up to the Air Site for 1pm.
